'Pirate' is the debut single off of Kelly Flint's debut album Pastel. The song was released as a single on February 14, 2015 and the music video was released on the 16th. It is track number 2 on the album.

Background

In an interview, Kelly said that she chose the single because she thought it would be a great introduction for the album and see what is on there. The single was No. 1 on Billboard's Top 200 and Billboard's Pop Charts for 8 weeks. Kelly also said in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that 'I chose Pirate because it has different music than the whole album, and I wanted to see if this music should be picked first then show the whole album that is pop whereas this song is more rocky than the others'

Filming began January 25th in the California Club in downtown California. The music video featured a dance group named Perfect Harmony.
